"Margaretha" Pocket Thigh Garter 2.0

A fan (and designer) favorite, the original pocket thigh garter is back with a makeover. Part of my initial inspiration for making this was to have a sexy, unique way of carrying around crystals without them knocking around in my purse. Of course it was also useful for cash, cards, makeup, perfume samples, snacks, dr*gs (lol), defense weapons, and whatever else I could fit. But the image of an old school femme fatale reaching up under a slinky dress to reveal a garter on her thigh holding up some mysterious item was always the vision when I designed the first iteration of it at fashion school in 2016.

As for the details- I've changed my lace fabric since then, so that's already an instant improvement on the pocket itself (this lace is stretchier and stronger). But I knew I wanted to improve the stability and durability even more to ensure it will withstand frequent use and the occasional rough handling. Along with the classic three horizontal adjustable satin elastic straps that it's stitched to, there is now additional elastic support on the sides of the pocket. This now also allows it to be able to be worn alone,  without a belt and strap. And those got a revamp too!

I decided to make it modular, with the idea of eventually having all these different strappy accessories that can be mixed and matched and layered with new and existing designs - "backwards compatible". You have the choice of purchasing the pocket garter alone, or with two different belt and connector strap options. Both style connectors can be hooked onto either belt on the left or right side.
