While trying to think of a fitting word to call this piece that wasn't "skort" (not shorts underneath and also... ugly word), I kept coming back to the theme of ballet and dancewear. For someone who only practiced ballet when I was 5 and can barely consider the Youtube videos I workout to as true "barre", I feel so deeply drawn to and inspired by balletic designs. This design is actually tweaked from an old fashion school project I did, and was probably the first technical pair of panties I made. The pattern for the underwear is just the basic block of my high waisted designs (Anaïs, Radha) in my buttery bamboo knit fabric, secured to the 3/4" satin elastic waistband underneath the four panel soft mesh skater skirt. She's the perfect piece to wear underneath dresses and skirts to give you a little added fullness, like a modern petticoat, but also to act as a slip skirt to help keep you more protected from wind or while walking up stairs. She's also a sexy solution for anyone having a hard time overcoming insecurity about being too "exposed" in skimpy lingerie, and for any insecurities about your midsection. And then also if you just want to do a little Black Swan roleplay lol. Arabesque felt like the perfect name given that it refers to both ballet and middle eastern art.
This waistband is not adjustable, it's stretchy and meant to be a pull on style. Please make a note at checkout your exact waist measurement for a perfect fit. If you don't know/don't put one, I will base it off the average measurement in my size chart of the one you select.
Arabesque is a French word meaning "in the Arab style" that refers to both a posture in ballet and the ornamental, intricate patterns often found in middle eastern art.

Some color options may be more expensive than others, which is due to the custom dying process I pay for to ensure the supply of elastics that match the fabrics.
Black, white, beige, and most red pieces are the base price while all others may be subject to a slight price increase to reflect the higher cost of materials involved. Print mesh options will also have a price increase. Thank you for your understanding!

Every Belle de Nuit piece is made to order, handmade by me. Please allow 2-6 weeks for your lingerie to arrive.
Once shipped, Priority Mail US takes 1-3 business days to arrive, whereas First Class Mail US takes between 2-5 business days. Priority Mail International takes anywhere between 6-10 days, and First Class International about 7-20 business days.
If you need your order delivered ASAP, please choose Priority Mail Express (next day US, 3-5 business days International) and/or leave a message in your order notes that state when you need your lingerie by and I will do my best to accommodate!

In order to prolong the lifespan of your lingerie, hand wash in cold or lukewarm water and let hang dry. A trusted delicates/hand wash cycle works too, but always hang dry. Handle with love and care!
